The Living Legends Foundation (LLF) in Los Angeles, California has chosen Reed Shannon to sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”, the “Black American National Anthem”, at the 19th Awards Show & Dinner. The event recognizes legendary music and radio industry figures that have distinguished themselves through their contributions as trailblazers, trendsetter, teachers and/or mentors. The Living Legends Foundation (LLF) is an organization dedicated to honoring unsung heroes, whose efforts and contributions have paved the way for many in the entertainment industry, especially, minorities and women. This year’s event will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles.

Although the Burbank Vocal Music Association holds it’s highly competitive show choir holds auditions in May every year, Reed Shannon arrived at Burbank High School in August 2015, landed an audition, and has been selected as the only freshman in In Sync!
In Sync is Burbank High School’s premier show choir, competing throughout California and the United States in the Advanced Mixed Division. In Sync is well known nationally, and is regularly ranked among the top 5 show choirs in the country. In recent years, they have become known for their innovative and emotionally charged performances, with stories, characters and music that take show choir to the next level.
Reed will be a featured artist when the BHS Vocal Music Association performs in concert with Broadway and television star, Megan Hilty, on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the California State University Northridge (CSUN) Valley Performing Arts Center (VPAC).
