'Les Miserables' an earnest, talent-filled production
The popular 1987 Broadway musical, “Les Misérables,” has had long runs in New York and on tour, and there’ve been versions for public television and film. Claude-Michel Schönberg’s music and Herbert Kretzmer’s lyrics still have a Pavlovian pull that elicits strong emotional responses, as proved in N.C. Theatre’s current production.

Local Young Man Lands Major Role In Broadway’s “Motown The Musical”
I had the privilege to meet and witness the awesome talent of 13 year old Reed Shannon. He is truly a blessed young man raised by parents who know that prayer makes a difference. Reed has just been casted for major roles in the national tour of “Motown the Musical.” I was so amazed by this young mans talent and humbleness that I invited him to the station for an interview.
Read more about Reed and listen to the great interview. He is truly a young man to watch!

I didn’t think artists got up this early, but there I was going to my first “State of the Arts and Culture in Wake County” event at 8 am on January 14. I walked into the NC Museum of Art chastising myself for not getting to the Porshe by Design event and hoping the dates would be extended so I could go (they have been).
