BWW Review: Actress/Singer MEGAN HILTY Rocks VPAC

*What an exciting opening act! In Sync is a group of 60 vocalists, tenth through twelfth graders from Burbank High School who perform all over Southern California and across the US in their role as ambassadors of civic pride and goodwill. Under the direction of Brett Carroll and Randy Sage and choreographed by April James and Sage, this immensely talented group have a huge repertoire of music.

 

On tap were: “I Surrender”, “Stand Up and Make a Change”, “Hit the Road, Jack” and a “Who’s Lovin’ You” medley which included: “Last Dance”, “That’s the Way” and “You Should Be Dancing”. Standing out among them was guest Reed Shannon who plays little Michael Jackson on tour in Motown the Musical. He really rocked!

RALEIGH TEEN STARS IN MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL ‘Motown the Musical’

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Motown: The Musical is wrapping up a six-day run at the Durham Performing Arts Center.


Reed Shannon is a friendly 14-year-old who just happens to be one of the stars the Broadway show.

Reed plays three roles in the musical. He plays Motown founder Berry Gordy as a child and he plays the young Stevie Wonder. Also, in a particularly memorable performance, he plays Michael Jackson at the start of his career as lead singer for the Jackson Five.

Raleigh Teen Stars In "Motown The Musical"

The cast and crew of the Broadway show “Motown the Musical” stormed into North Carolina this week.

 

One of the stars of the show is Reed Shannon of Raleigh.  The teenager has gotten great reviews playing a young “Michael Jackson” for crowds from San Francisco to the Durham Performing Arts Center.

Berry Gordy's 'Motown the Musical' coming to Chicago

The Oriental Theatre this morning was abuzz with anticipation of the official word that the highly acclaimed "Motown the Musical" is coming to Chicago. This morning's press conference confirmed the cast and when the production will begin. April 22 through July 13, Chicago will be home to Berry Gordy's hit musical.
